Important 2026 legal notice: India’s Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025 prohibits online money games, their promotion and the transfer of funds for such games. The supporting Rules took effect on May 1, 2026. The presence of a payment button, UPI logo, QR code or deposit option on an offshore website does not make the transaction lawful in India.

18+ responsible gambling notice: This page is for adults dealing with an existing payment problem. Being over 18 does not make a prohibited transaction lawful. Do not send a second payment to recover a delayed payment, chase gambling losses or use borrowed money. No betting system, payment method or platform can guarantee winnings or repayment.

Availability notice: We have not conducted a paid Melbet UPI transaction or accessed every user’s live cashier on August 4, 2026. UPI is therefore not verified as currently available for all Indian Melbet accounts. This article does not provide instructions for initiating or routing a new deposit.

Quick Answer: Is Melbet UPI Deposit Available in India in 2026?

There are two separate questions behind searches such as “melbet upi deposit working” or “melbet upi not showing.”

The first question is whether a UPI option happens to appear inside a particular user’s Melbet cashier. That can only be observed in the user’s live account session. Melbet’s published terms state that available methods are displayed in the Payments section and that the operator may restrict or suspend particular payment methods without prior notice. A payment method shown to one account may therefore be missing from another account or disappear later.

The second and more important question is whether money should be transferred through that option in India. As of August 2026, India’s central online-gaming framework prohibits online money games and prohibits fund transfers for those games. The legal position is no longer accurately described simply as a state-by-state grey area. The national prohibition and 2026 Rules must be considered before any state-specific issue.

For that reason, this page does not advise readers to make a Melbet deposit via UPI. It is written for someone who has already attempted a payment and now needs to identify whether the transaction is pending, failed, reversed, credited to the beneficiary or missing from the platform wallet.

What Changed in India in 2026?

Older articles often say that online betting in India is governed mainly by different state gambling laws, with no single nationwide rule. That description is now incomplete.

The Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025 defines an “online money game” broadly as an online game in which a user pays money or another stake with the expectation of monetary or similar enrichment. The definition covers games based on chance, skill or a mixture of both, subject to the Act’s stated exclusions.

The Act contains separate prohibitions relating to:

  • offering or facilitating online money games;
  • advertisements that directly or indirectly encourage participation;
  • the transfer or processing of funds for online money games;
  • continued access to unlawful gaming services.

The Government announced in March 2026 that the legislation prohibits all forms of online money gaming and associated financial processing. The final Rules were published in April and took effect on May 1, 2026.

This has a direct effect on a page targeting “melbet deposit via upi.” It would be irresponsible to treat the topic as a normal payment tutorial, publish a deposit call to action or tell readers how to restore access through another bank, payment agent, virtual payment address or VPN.

The useful purpose of the page is now narrower: helping a consumer understand and document an existing payment problem without making the situation worse.

It is also important not to confuse taxation with legality. Indian tax provisions can impose tax and TDS obligations on online-game winnings, but a tax rule does not legalize an activity prohibited under another law.

A Realistic Melbet UPI Pending Scenario

Consider a user who attempted a ₹3,000 payment before checking the updated legal position.

The user selected a UPI option shown in the cashier, approved the transaction in a banking app and saw the bank balance decrease. The UPI app displayed a successful or processing status and generated a transaction reference. When the user returned to Melbet, the wallet balance remained unchanged.

Several things may have happened:

  1. The payer’s bank accepted the debit, but the beneficiary bank had not yet returned final confirmation.
  2. The bank-to-bank payment completed, but the payment processor did not match it to the correct gaming account.
  3. The cashier session expired before the platform recorded the reference.
  4. The amount reached a beneficiary account but was rejected by the operator’s payment or compliance system.
  5. The transaction failed after the debit and entered the banking network’s reversal process.
  6. The platform wallet or transaction-history screen had not yet refreshed.
  7. The payer used an account whose name did not match the Melbet account holder.
  8. The receiving payment route became unavailable while the transaction was being processed.

UPI is an instant payment system operated through participating banks and payment service providers, but “instant” does not mean every transaction receives final confirmation immediately. NPCI distinguishes technical declines, business declines, pending-credit cases and debit reversals.

The most dangerous response is to assume the first payment has disappeared and immediately make a second payment. The original payment may still be credited or reversed later, creating a duplicate debit.

The correct approach is to stop, identify the actual transaction state and preserve the evidence needed by both the bank and the platform.

Why the Melbet UPI Option May Not Be Showing

A missing UPI button does not have one universal explanation. Without access to the user’s live account, it is impossible to attribute the disappearance to a specific bank, regulator, processor or technical event.

The following are reasonable categories to investigate.

1. The Payment Method Was Restricted or Suspended

Melbet’s published terms say that the company may restrict or suspend specific deposit and withdrawal methods without prior notice. The terms also direct users to the Payments section for the methods currently attached to their accounts.

This means an old screenshot, article or social-media post cannot establish current availability. Even an official promotional page that mentions UPI does not prove the method is active for every user today.

2. The Account Is Not Eligible for That Method

Payment options may vary according to account currency, registered country, account status, verification history or payment-provider availability. A method appearing on one account does not prove it should appear on another.

The user should not alter identity information, create another account or use another person’s profile to obtain a different payment menu. Melbet’s terms restrict duplicate accounts and require users to act for themselves rather than as proxies for third parties.

3. A Bank or Payment Provider Declined the Route

NPCI categorizes some payment failures as business declines, including cases involving incorrect details, transaction-count limits, amount limits and other non-technical restrictions. It separately categorizes technical declines caused by unavailable bank or NPCI systems.

A user cannot determine from a missing logo alone whether the cause is legal blocking, bank risk controls, payment-provider downtime or an operator decision.

4. The Interface Has Not Loaded Correctly

A stale session, outdated app, connection problem or temporary interface error can sometimes prevent the cashier from loading its current list of methods.

That possibility does not justify installing an unofficial APK, disabling device security or following a third-party mirror. Melbet’s own app information warns users against downloading installers from third-party websites because of security risks.

5. The Method Is Being Presented Through a Different Provider

A general UPI label may represent different payment-provider integrations at different times. However, readers should not attempt to identify or contact an intermediary merchant independently, send money to a UPI ID copied from an earlier session or follow a QR code supplied by a Telegram or WhatsApp “agent.”

A recipient displayed in a previous transaction may no longer be connected to the platform. Sending funds outside the current authenticated payment session greatly increases the risk of misdirected or unrecoverable transfers.

What a Missing UPI Option Does Not Prove

It does not automatically prove that:

  • the user’s account has been banned;
  • UPI is permanently unavailable;
  • a different bank will work;
  • the platform is permitted to accept money in India;
  • an agent can restore the method;
  • the user should create another account;
  • an alternative payment route is lawful.

Melbet UPI Deposit Limits: Why Fixed Figures Are Misleading

Some pages publish fixed Melbet UPI minimums and maximums such as ₹300, ₹500, ₹25,000 or ₹100,000. Those figures should not be treated as permanent facts unless they were captured from a dated, authenticated cashier session and clearly labelled with the account conditions under which they appeared.

Melbet’s terms state that payment methods are shown in the Payments section and may be restricted. The appropriate editorial position is therefore that the live amount displayed in the user’s authenticated account is the operator-side figure for that specific session—not a limit quoted in an undated article.

There is also a separate UPI network and bank layer.

NPCI’s consumer FAQ says the standard UPI limit is generally up to ₹1 lakh per transaction, with different limits for certain approved categories. A participating bank, payment app or account may impose a lower amount limit or a daily transaction-count limit.

These layers should not be confused:

Limit layerWho controls itWhy it may differ
Melbet cashier amountOperator or its payment providerAccount, currency, provider and method conditions
UPI network category limitNPCI frameworkDifferent approved transaction categories have different ceilings
Bank limitUser’s issuing bankSecurity policy, account type, risk controls and daily limits
UPI app limitPayment service providerApp-specific controls or linked-bank restrictions
Available balanceUser’s bank accountFunds available after holds and pending transactions

A higher limit shown on a platform does not override a lower bank limit. Equally, the fact that a bank permits a ₹1 lakh UPI transaction does not establish that the intended recipient or purpose is permitted.

Readers should not divide a larger amount into several smaller transactions to avoid a restriction. Repeated transfers can create multiple pending items, make reconciliation harder and trigger additional risk checks.

The Account-Name Matching Rule

One of the strongest points supported by Melbet’s published terms is the requirement that payment instruments belong to the account holder.

The terms state that payment instruments must be registered in the customer’s name and may be subject to additional verification. They also warn against using another person’s electronic wallet and reserve the right to block transactions or deny withdrawals involving payment details that do not belong to the account holder.

In practical terms, the following names should be consistent:

  • the legal name registered on the Melbet account;
  • the name attached to the bank account;
  • the identity connected to the UPI profile;
  • the name shown on KYC documents;
  • the source-of-funds information supplied during verification.

Minor display differences, initials or bank formatting may not necessarily cause a failure, but a completely different account holder creates a significant compliance problem.

Do Not Use a Relative’s or Friend’s UPI Account

Using a spouse’s, sibling’s, parent’s, friend’s or employee’s UPI account is not a safe fix for “melbet upi not showing.”

It may result in:

  • the deposit being rejected;
  • the payment being held for investigation;
  • a request for source-of-funds proof;
  • the gaming account being restricted;
  • withdrawal problems later;
  • the third-party bank account becoming involved in a dispute;
  • difficulty proving who is entitled to a refund.

Consent from the other person does not eliminate the identity mismatch.

Do Not Create a New Melbet Account to Match the Payer

Creating another profile under a different email address or name can introduce a duplicate-account violation. Melbet’s terms generally permit one account and allow action where duplicate registrations, someone else’s documents or doubtful identity information are detected.

The safer response to a mismatch is to stop making payments and document the transaction honestly.

The Four-State Model for a Melbet UPI Deposit

A transaction should be classified according to evidence, not assumptions.

State 1: Pending

A pending transaction means final confirmation is incomplete somewhere in the payment chain.

Possible signs include:

  • the bank account has been debited;
  • the UPI app says “pending,” “processing” or a similar status;
  • the Melbet wallet has not changed;
  • the platform transaction history shows an unresolved entry;
  • neither a final credit nor reversal appears on the bank statement.

NPCI explains that a pending UPI transaction can occur when credit confirmation from the beneficiary bank is delayed. Its FAQ advises checking the transaction history and recognizes that settlement can take additional time in such cases.

However, a bank-side pending-credit resolution does not guarantee that Melbet will credit the gaming wallet. The platform or payment processor may still need to associate the received amount with the user’s account.

What to do:

  • Do not make a duplicate payment.
  • Save the UPI transaction reference.
  • Record the exact amount, date and time.
  • Check the full bank transaction page.
  • Check Melbet’s deposit history rather than only the homepage balance.
  • Take screenshots before statuses change.
  • Raise a bank or UPI-app complaint if the transaction remains unresolved.
  • Contact official Melbet support with the same evidence.

State 2: Failed With No Debit

This is the simplest outcome.

The UPI app or bank rejected the payment, and the bank statement confirms that no money left the account.

Possible causes include:

  • an incorrect UPI PIN;
  • a bank limit;
  • an invalid or unavailable recipient;
  • a payment-provider error;
  • a technical decline;
  • a security or risk-control decline.

NPCI notes that a wrong UPI PIN causes the transaction to fail and that repeated incorrect attempts may temporarily restrict UPI payments, depending on the bank.

Because no debit occurred, there is no missing amount to recover. Nevertheless, readers should not repeatedly retry or search for an unofficial recipient.

State 3: Failed With a Debit

This state requires closer attention.

The app labels the transaction failed, but the amount appears as a debit in the bank account.

NPCI says failed UPI transactions in which the account was debited should be refunded and advises contacting the bank if the refund does not arrive within the stated initial period. RBI’s failed-transaction framework establishes turnaround and compensation rules for authorised payment systems and says applicable compensation should be credited without waiting for a separate claim when the prescribed conditions are met.

The user should:

  1. open the transaction details in the UPI app;
  2. confirm whether the status is actually failed rather than pending;
  3. save the transaction reference and bank debit entry;
  4. raise a complaint through the app or issuing bank;
  5. obtain a complaint or service-request number;
  6. monitor the bank statement for an automatic reversal;
  7. avoid making another transfer.

State 4: Bank-Side Success but No Melbet Wallet Credit

This is not the same as a failed UPI transaction.

The UPI app and bank statement show a completed transfer, but the platform does not display the funds.

The discrepancy may be caused by:

  • missing payment-to-account reconciliation;
  • incorrect account mapping;
  • an expired cashier session;
  • amount mismatch;
  • name mismatch;
  • processor delay;
  • compliance review;
  • a platform-side technical fault.

The bank may regard its part of the transfer as complete because the beneficiary account received the funds. Melbet or its payment processor must then investigate why the gaming wallet was not credited.

This is why both sets of evidence are required: proof from the bank and proof from the platform transaction history.

State 5: Reversed

A reversed transaction means the debit has been returned to the source account.

The refund may appear as:

  • reversal;
  • UPI refund;
  • returned payment;
  • credit adjustment;
  • failed-transaction credit.

Do not rely only on SMS alerts or the app’s home-screen balance. Open the full account statement and match the returned amount against the original reference and date.

After a complete reversal, the missing-payment complaint is generally resolved from the banking perspective. Do not treat the returned amount as a reason to attempt the same prohibited payment again.

Self-Check Before Contacting Support

Complete this check in order.

1. Verify the Bank-Side Status

Open the UPI app’s transaction-history page and select the exact payment. Read the detailed status rather than relying on a push notification.

Record whether it says:

  • successful;
  • pending;
  • failed;
  • reversed;
  • refunded;
  • processing.

2. Check the Actual Bank Statement

The app’s notification and the bank ledger can differ temporarily.

Confirm:

  • whether the amount was debited;
  • whether the debit is final or pending;
  • whether a reversal has already appeared;
  • whether two identical debits exist;
  • whether the available balance and ledger balance differ.

3. Save the Transaction Reference

Use the exact UPI transaction ID, bank reference or app reference displayed for that payment. Do not guess or copy a reference from another transaction.

A reference number helps the issuing bank, payment app and recipient-side institution trace the payment.

4. Check the Amount and Time

Record the amount exactly, including any paise shown.

Also record:

  • calendar date;
  • local time;
  • time zone if relevant;
  • UPI app used;
  • linked bank;
  • status when first observed.

5. Confirm the Payer’s Name

Check that the bank and UPI profile belong to the same person named on the Melbet account.

Do not edit screenshots or attempt to disguise a mismatch.

6. Check Melbet’s Transaction History

Look for a deposit-history or payment-history record.

Possible outcomes include:

  • a completed deposit;
  • a pending deposit;
  • a failed deposit;
  • no corresponding record;
  • a record with a different amount or time.

Take a screenshot showing the account section and status, but do not expose the password or full identity-document number.

7. Check for a Reversal

Search the bank statement for a credit equal to the original debit. Reversals may be posted separately rather than changing the original transaction’s label.

8. Stop Further Payments

Do not send another amount while the first transaction is unresolved.

This remains true even if someone claiming to be support says a “verification deposit,” “unlock payment,” “minimum top-up” or “processing fee” is required.

Evidence Checklist for a Pending or Missing Deposit

Prepare one clear evidence pack instead of sending incomplete screenshots in several messages.

Include:

  • Melbet account number or user ID;
  • registered account name;
  • exact payment amount;
  • date and time;
  • UPI app name;
  • issuing bank;
  • transaction reference;
  • screenshot of the UPI transaction details;
  • bank-statement entry showing the debit;
  • screenshot of Melbet’s payment history;
  • exact error message;
  • previous support ticket number;
  • confirmation of whether a reversal has appeared.

Redact Sensitive Information

Evidence should be sufficient to trace the transaction without exposing credentials.

Redact:

  • UPI PIN;
  • OTP;
  • bank password;
  • card PIN;
  • complete debit-card number;
  • complete Aadhaar number;
  • complete PAN where not specifically required through a secure KYC channel;
  • unrelated transactions;
  • recovery codes;
  • device unlock code.

Do not redact the transaction amount, date, reference or status. Those are the details needed to investigate the payment.

Never Share an OTP or UPI PIN

NPCI explicitly states that a UPI PIN should not be shared and that bank customer support will not ask for it.

A legitimate support representative does not need remote access to the phone, screen-sharing control or the user’s UPI PIN to locate a transfer.

How to Escalate a Melbet UPI Deposit Problem

There may be two separate disputes:

  1. a dispute with the bank or UPI payment provider about the movement or reversal of money;
  2. a dispute with Melbet about crediting the platform account.

Raise the issue with the party responsible for the unresolved stage.

Step 1: Contact the UPI App or Issuing Bank

Use the complaint feature attached to the exact transaction whenever possible.

Provide:

  • the transaction reference;
  • amount;
  • date and time;
  • payer account;
  • displayed recipient;
  • status;
  • screenshot;
  • description of the missing credit or reversal.

NPCI says consumers can raise a grievance or check a UPI transaction through the participating bank’s UPI app. NPCI also operates a complaint-status facility that routes complaints to the relevant member bank or institution for resolution.

Ask the bank a precise question:

Was the transaction finally credited to the beneficiary account, is it still pending, or has a reversal been initiated?

That answer is more useful than asking only whether the transaction was “successful.”

Step 2: Contact Official Melbet Support

Use a support channel published on an official Melbet domain or inside the authenticated account. Do not use contact information from a social-media comment, private message or unofficial payment agent.

Melbet publishes live support and contact details for payment queries. Its contact information describes payment support response times as potentially taking up to 48 hours, but this should be treated as an operator estimate rather than a guaranteed deadline.

Send one organized message containing:

  • account ID;
  • amount;
  • date and time;
  • transaction reference;
  • bank-side status;
  • screenshot of the debit;
  • screenshot of the missing platform credit;
  • confirmation that the payer name matches the account name.

Request a ticket number.

Step 3: Follow Up With the Bank if No Reversal Arrives

If the bank confirms that the transaction failed or should have been reversed, continue through the bank’s grievance process.

Keep:

  • the original complaint;
  • bank response;
  • complaint number;
  • date of every follow-up;
  • screenshots of status changes.

Step 4: Escalate an Unresolved Bank Complaint

RBI guidance provides access to the Reserve Bank–Integrated Ombudsman Scheme when a complaint against an RBI-regulated entity is not satisfactorily resolved within 30 days.

The Ombudsman route concerns the bank or regulated payment entity’s service. It does not force an offshore betting platform to credit a gaming wallet.

Step 5: Treat Requests for Additional Money as a Scam Warning

Do not send:

  • an “account release” deposit;
  • a “tax clearance” payment to an individual;
  • an “AML verification” transfer;
  • a “refund activation” fee;
  • a payment to a new QR code sent in chat;
  • a payment to someone claiming to be a local Melbet agent.

A genuine investigation should be based on the original transaction evidence.

What This Guide Will Not Tell You to Do

This page will not advise readers to:

  • use another person’s UPI account;
  • create a duplicate Melbet account;
  • alter identity or KYC information;
  • split payments to avoid limits;
  • send money to a saved or previously used UPI ID;
  • obtain payment details from Telegram or WhatsApp agents;
  • use a VPN to bypass access restrictions;
  • switch banks to defeat a payment block;
  • disguise the purpose of a transaction;
  • install an unofficial payment-helper application;
  • pay a fee to release a refund;
  • make a second deposit while the first remains pending.

These actions can create additional financial, identity and legal risks without resolving the original transaction.

Security Risks Around Melbet UPI Payments

Payment failures attract impersonators because the affected user is anxious and looking for a quick solution.

Fake Support Accounts

A scammer may copy the platform logo and ask the user to continue the conversation privately.

Warning signs include:

  • an unsolicited direct message;
  • a request for OTP or UPI PIN;
  • a request to install remote-control software;
  • a request to share the entire bank screen;
  • a demand for another payment;
  • pressure to act within minutes;
  • a QR code that does not appear in the authenticated cashier;
  • a promise of guaranteed credit or refund.

Unofficial APK Files

A payment problem should never be “fixed” by installing an APK from a file-sharing site, messaging group or mirror. Melbet’s own app material warns that third-party installers can create security risks.

An unsafe APK may request access to:

  • SMS messages;
  • notifications;
  • contacts;
  • stored files;
  • accessibility services;
  • screen overlays;
  • device administration.

Those permissions can expose OTPs and banking activity.

Screen-Sharing Fraud

Someone who can view or control the screen may see:

  • OTPs;
  • account numbers;
  • UPI notifications;
  • passwords;
  • recovery links;
  • identity documents.

Do not install remote-support software at the request of a gambling payment agent.

QR-Code Substitution

A QR code contains recipient information. A scammer can replace a legitimate-looking code with one connected to a different account.

Before any lawful UPI payment, the payer should normally verify the recipient shown by the banking app. For the present topic, however, readers should not initiate a new Melbet payment in light of the 2026 prohibition.

Indian Legal Position: A Payment Option Is Not Legal Approval

A common misunderstanding is that a transaction must be lawful because:

  • the website opens;
  • the app can be installed;
  • UPI appears in the cashier;
  • an Indian bank processes the debit;
  • the platform uses INR;
  • the operator holds an overseas licence;
  • tax rules mention online-game winnings.

None of those facts overrides Indian law.

The Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025 applies a national framework to online money games. Government material states that the Act prohibits online money games, their advertising and the processing of related financial transactions. The 2026 Rules operationalized the framework from May 1, 2026.

Melbet’s published terms identify an operator incorporated in Curaçao and refer to a Curaçao gaming licence and overseas payment agents. An overseas licence is not an Indian authorization and does not displace Indian prohibitions.

The Act also operates alongside other applicable laws rather than replacing every state, banking, tax, anti-money-laundering or cybercrime rule. Users facing a significant loss, frozen account or legal notice should obtain advice from an Indian lawyer based on the actual documents and jurisdiction.

This article is not legal advice and does not make a prediction about how a particular complaint, investigation or court proceeding would be handled.

Tax Treatment Does Not Make the Transaction Legal

Indian tax law contains specific rules for online-game winnings.

Section 115BBJ provides a 30% tax rate on net winnings from online games. Section 194BA requires tax deduction on net winnings, including at withdrawal and at the end of the financial year under the applicable calculation rules.

Three cautions matter.

First, the tax is calculated on net winnings under prescribed rules. It is not accurately described as a simple 30% deduction from every deposit or every amount moved through a UPI account.

Second, tax law and gaming law serve different purposes. A provision explaining how income is taxed does not create permission to participate in a prohibited online money game.

Third, an offshore operator may not apply Indian TDS in the same way as an Indian reporting entity. That can create record-keeping and tax-reporting complications for the user.

Anyone dealing with historical winnings, withdrawals or unresolved tax reporting should retain:

  • account statements;
  • deposit records;
  • withdrawal records;
  • bonus entries;
  • year-end balances;
  • platform transaction history;
  • bank statements;
  • any tax certificates supplied.

A Chartered Accountant should review the individual facts.

Responsible Gambling and Payment Stress

A pending payment can create a strong urge to restore the account balance immediately. That urge is especially risky when gambling losses are already involved.

Do not respond to payment stress by:

  • increasing the amount;
  • repeating the transaction;
  • borrowing money;
  • using a credit facility;
  • transferring from a family member’s account;
  • trying another gambling platform;
  • chasing previous losses;
  • paying an agent.

A useful cooling-off rule is to make no new gambling-related financial decision while a previous payment remains unresolved.

Other protective steps include:

  • reviewing bank and platform histories;
  • removing saved payment methods;
  • enabling bank transaction alerts;
  • setting lower transfer limits;
  • blocking gambling-related transactions where the bank provides that option;
  • using account closure or self-exclusion tools;
  • discussing the situation with a trusted person;
  • seeking professional support when gambling is causing secrecy, debt, conflict or loss of control.

No payment recovery should depend on placing another bet or meeting a wagering condition. If someone claims that a missing deposit can only be recovered after further betting, request the rule in writing and do not send additional funds.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Melbet UPI deposit working in India right now?

UPI is not verified as currently available for every Indian Melbet user. Payment methods may differ by account and may be restricted without notice. More importantly, India’s current online-gaming framework prohibits online money games and fund transfers for them, so the appearance of UPI should not be treated as permission to deposit.

Why is Melbet UPI not showing?

Possible causes include operator-side restriction, payment-provider unavailability, account eligibility, bank controls, a technical decline or an interface problem. A missing method does not justify using an unofficial payment agent, another person’s account or an old UPI ID.

My bank account was debited, but Melbet shows no deposit. What should I do?

Do not pay again. Save the transaction reference, check the detailed bank status, check Melbet’s payment history and take screenshots. Raise a complaint through the UPI app or issuing bank and provide the same evidence to official Melbet support.

How long can a UPI payment remain pending?

NPCI recognizes pending-credit situations and says delayed beneficiary-bank confirmation can require additional settlement time. The precise resolution depends on whether the payment is pending within the banking network or completed at the bank but missing from the platform wallet.

Should I make another deposit if the first is pending?

No. The first payment may still complete or reverse later. A second payment can create a duplicate debit and a more complicated dispute.

Can I use my spouse’s or friend’s UPI account?

No. Melbet’s terms require payment instruments to be registered in the customer’s name and warn that third-party payment details may lead to blocked transactions or denied withdrawals.

What is the Melbet UPI deposit limit?

There is no reliable permanent figure that applies to every user. The operator-side amount may vary by account and payment provider. Separately, NPCI says the normal UPI limit is generally up to ₹1 lakh per transaction, although banks and apps may apply lower limits.

Does a ₹1 lakh UPI limit mean I can send ₹1 lakh to Melbet?

No. A network ceiling is not an approval of the recipient, transaction purpose or gaming service. The bank, app, payment provider, operator and applicable law each create separate restrictions.

My payment says failed, but money was deducted. Is the money lost?

Not necessarily. Failed UPI debits are generally expected to reverse. Raise a complaint through the UPI app or bank, retain the complaint number and monitor the full bank statement.

Can a completed UPI transfer be cancelled?

NPCI states that an initiated UPI payment cannot simply be stopped like a cheque. A disputed, failed or unauthorized transaction must be handled through the app, bank and applicable complaint process.

What proof should I send to Melbet?

Send the account ID, amount, date, time, transaction reference, bank-side status, debit evidence and screenshot of the missing platform credit. Never send the UPI PIN, OTP or banking password.

Can Melbet support ask for my UPI PIN?

No legitimate bank or payment support process requires the UPI PIN. NPCI advises users never to share it and states that bank support will not ask for it.

Is Melbet legal in India in 2026?

India’s Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025 and the Rules effective from May 1, 2026 prohibit online money games and related fund transfers. An offshore licence or accessible website does not amount to Indian authorization. Obtain legal advice for a specific dispute or notice.

Are Melbet winnings taxed in India?

Indian law applies a 30% tax rate to net winnings from online games under Section 115BBJ and contains TDS rules under Section 194BA. Taxation does not make a prohibited activity lawful. Consult a Chartered Accountant regarding historical transactions and reporting.

What should I do if the bank ignores my complaint?

Follow the bank’s formal grievance procedure and retain the complaint number. If the complaint against an RBI-regulated entity remains unresolved for 30 days, review the Reserve Bank–Integrated Ombudsman process.

Can a local payment agent recover my pending deposit?

An independent agent cannot safely resolve a bank-to-bank transaction by requesting another transfer. Use the UPI app, issuing bank and official operator support. Do not pay an “unlock,” “verification” or “refund processing” fee.

Final Consumer-Protection Summary

The most important conclusion is not whether a UPI logo appears in the Melbet cashier.

As of August 4, 2026, India has a national law and operational Rules prohibiting online money games and related fund transfers. This makes a conventional “how to deposit” page inappropriate. The responsible purpose of this guide is to help consumers prevent duplicate payments, identify the true banking status of an existing transaction and preserve evidence for a complaint.

Remember the core rules:

  • Do not make a new Melbet UPI deposit.
  • Do not pay twice when a transaction is pending.
  • Do not use another person’s UPI account.
  • Do not use an agent or old QR code.
  • Do not share a PIN, OTP or password.
  • Check the bank statement and platform history separately.
  • Save the transaction reference.
  • Escalate bank-side failures through the UPI app or bank.
  • Escalate wallet-credit discrepancies through official Melbet support.
  • Use the RBI complaint process where an eligible bank complaint remains unresolved.
  • Do not treat an offshore licence, payment button or tax rule as Indian legal approval.
  • Pause gambling activity while any payment remains unresolved.

18+ only. Gambling can cause financial harm. No payment method, platform feature or betting strategy guarantees profit, account access, successful withdrawal or recovery of losses.
